A KINGDOM OR FAMILY WHERE THERE ARE INTERNAL FIGHTS CANNOT SURVIVE
The gospel shows us how there are those who follow Jesus and support him. On the other hand, there are others, a smaller group, part of the same family unit that rejects him. Even more, there is a group of lawyers from Jerusalem, who defame him, denying what is evident: They affirm that Jesus' power does not come from God, but from Beelzebub or Satan. However, to the latter, Jesus confirms that his power comes from God, because he fights against the forces of evil, that is, how can Satan expel himself? Therefore, the true “blasphemers” are the lawyers themselves, since they deny and close themselves to the liberating manifestation of God.They want to disqualify Jesus and consider him crazy and possessed. Thus, the great blasphemy that he is possessed by an impure spirit attacks the Holy Spirit himself. And here it is not about saying a bad word against the Holy Spirit, but the real blasphemy is that committed by the scribes, who attribute the works of Jesus to Satan. But what is the seriousness of this sin? Closing themselves to the action of God, preventing mercy from reaching them. There is a kind of closure to the action of the Spirit that prevents it from changing, or else there is no docility to the grace of God.
On the other hand, Jesus teaches us that we cannot be so selfish with Kingdom affairs, tying ourselves to the ties of biological family as an absolute value. Because, based on his person, a more universal bond is created that is not delimited by blood, but rather the one that generates the life of faith in Christ and that must be shared. For this reason, both those close to Jesus, who prevent his action, and those who call him demonic, teach us that man can be left out of the reach of the saving power of God, when he insists on rejecting the divine love that comes to him. meeting.
